1976 GMC Shagging Wagon, “VANDURA” This is a true 70’s Time Capsule Boogie Van. The No-Tell-Motel! Nothing has been changed but the oil and tires, but they need to be changed. The tires are old.
The van has its original hand painted murals, fuzzy hair interior trim, sink to wash your…………..? Oh, and an ice box for your beer. The rear of the van is the Tunnel of Love, you have to crawl through an arched door to arrive in a den of carpet and fur. So cool……
The wheels of the van I’ve never seen any thing like them. The interior star is some kind of composite? wood? Very custom from the 70’s.
The van actually runs great! Its a 350 V8 four barrel with a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. The past owner said it had a fiberglass sun visor that blew off on the highway. But I have found a few on ebay. Also had a rear ladder, but again….can find on ebay! Man….put some sidepipe exhaust on this thing.
All the gauges work, the van has strong oil pressure, odometer shows 42000 miles. Likely 1420000.
I doubt you’ll find another like it. It’s super neat, super cool. Located in San Antonio Texas.
