I found this great truck parked next to Gruene Hall the famous Texas dancehall a few weekends ago. It sat “old School” with a for sale sign in the window. It stated……FOR SALE! ”your wife called, and wants you to have it.”
The past owner owned the truck for about 29 years. It’s pretty incredible. Let’s start with the body. We have found NO rust issues, or thuds of Bondo filler anywhere either. Even the cab corners are metal. The original floors are…..impressive. No cuts or patches anywhere. The tailgate is the Tell Tell of the whole truck to me. Most of these old trucks have tailgates that are bent, dented and banged up. The tailgate is prefect! It has that great FORD script on it too.
The paint is dull but I think it looks perfect. If you buff the paint, it will shine like new, no doubt.
This F-1 has the Flat Head V8. It starts quick and runs so quiet its often hard to hear. It’s very smooth. The three speed transmission shifts like new and the brakes are strong. The truck is VERY original…..even still 6 volt. This is a very special truck. You will luv it!!!!!! Comes with books and manuals and clear Texas title.
